St. Johns County Dog Parks: The Complete Guide

St. Johns County has one of the best off-leash dog park networks in Northeast Florida, spread across county parks and master-planned communities alike. Whether you're in St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, or one of the newer Nocatee neighborhoods, chances are there's a fenced dog park closer than you think. Here's a rundown of the county's best.

Treaty Park (St. Augustine)

At 47 acres, Treaty Park is one of the most complete parks in the county — playground, skate park, courts, fishing lake, sports fields, and a dedicated dog park all in one complex. It's a good pick if you want to make a whole afternoon of it with the family.

Davis Park (Ponte Vedra)

Davis Park has two separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, plus shaded seating for the humans waiting around. It's a popular stop for Ponte Vedra Beach residents on their way to or from the beach.

Veterans Park (St. Johns)

Veterans Park's dog park is about 3 acres with separate fenced sections for large and small dogs, drinking fountains, a picnic shelter, and waste-bag stations. It's centrally located for residents around Julington Creek and the St. Johns Parkway corridor.

Ron Parker Park (St. Augustine Beach)

If you're closer to the coast, Ron Parker Park gives St. Augustine Beach dog owners an off-leash option without having to drive inland.

DeLeon Shores Park (Ponte Vedra Beach)

Another solid option for Ponte Vedra Beach residents, with fenced off-leash space closer to the water than Davis Park.

Nocatee Community Park & Neighborhood Parks

RiverTown Dog Park (Fruit Cove/St. Johns)

RiverTown's dog park, tucked along the St. Johns River near Fruit Cove, has separate large- and small-dog sections with shade and water fountains — a nice option for residents near our Julington Creek and Mandarin service areas.
